We are delighted to welcome Becky Williams to our team here at A&P and have asked her lots of questions to find out more about her and her new job role.
What is your job role here at A&P?
My role is Senior Account Manager, our job is to be the main point of contact for clients.
It’s a varied role and involves interpreting briefs and working alongside the wider team to co-ordinate projects. We help clients to overcome business challenges, identify opportunities and achieve their objectives.
What is your background?
My background is marketing and brand management. I have found that it’s been really beneficial for my role at A&P. Many of our clients are marketing contacts, so it’s been useful to understand their roles and how we can bring their briefs to life!
Tell us 3 positives about your first week at A&P?
- Everyone was so lovely, friendly and knowledgeable in their fields.
- I learnt a heck of a lot. A&P are a full-service agency with inhouse specialists. The induction provides an overview of all the work that goes on and I found it fascinating.
- No day is ever the same!
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
My weekends remind me of that old programme ‘holiday showdown’, mainly because they can be completely opposite. Some weekends are the standard social enjoying a ‘fizz Friday’ and a cocktail or 2 ????. But then I can be a total hermit, tucked away painting furniture that has been scavenged from charity shops!
What accomplishments are you most proud of?
I think it would have to be doing up the house – which was far more difficult than Pinterest makes out - or completing my chartered institute of marketing qualifications outside of work #goodbyesociallife.
Would you rather never use social media sites/apps again or never watch another movie/tv show?
I shouldn’t really say this as I think social media is amazing for businesses, however, I would rather not use social/apps ever again. I think social media puts a lot of pressure on people, particularly the younger generation, I also feel we’re on our phones way too much when we should be enjoying ‘the moment’!
Who would play you in a movie about your life?
Probably the main character from Bridesmaids.
Have you ever had/do you have a nickname?
With a Sunday name like Rebecca, Becky is always a go-to.
What’s your go-to comfort food?
It would be easier to list what isn’t – my personal record for takeaways was 3 in one day polished off with an Easter Egg.
What’s your favourite brand of all time?
Purely for their banter on social media it has to be Innocent.
